William Joseph McKnight,

Commonly called Joe,

Was a great man.

He was a scouter.

He joined troop 62,

In 1962,

With 62 eagles.

He was a cook.

He cooked for so many at Aquatics Camp.

He was 87 years old,

And he cooked for 400 kids.

He was more than a cook,

He was an ideal counselor,

If you had a problem Joe could fix it.

He died on February 15, 2008.

We had a celebration on February 18, 2008.

Here I heard many memories of Joe.

There was a slideshow of photos,

At the end it said,

“Now serving at God’s table.”

This was fitting.
